Bethlehem man, 76, with dementia is missing

BETHLEHEM — Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a 76-year-old Bethlehem man who went missing Thursday morning.

Santiago Colon has dementia and may be without his diabetes medication, family members said. He was last seen around 11:30 a.m. at the La Favorita grocery store on Third Street in Bethlehem, near his home.

Colon told a neighbor that he was headed to Perth Amboy, N.J., to visit his brother. He was driving a burgundy 2005 Hyundai Elantra. Colon did not take his cell phone, family members said.

Colon is approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall and of slim build. He is bald with facial hair and hazel eyes, and wears glasses. He often wears hats, though family members did not know if he was wearing one on Thursday. On the day he went missing, he was wearing jeans, a sweater with a deer design and a green army jacket.
